There are a few dedicated people in the Salina Kennel Club, who love to share their dogs with the less fortunate (we all need a little dog hair in our lives :) who can't have a dog anymore, and also some of them dog, er, *do* public education with both Children and Adults. This page is dedicated to them !
Some members are available to do school demonstrations, with their Therapy Dogs, contact Kat Farres to find out more. There is no cost for this public service. They also do nursing home and care facility visits.
Salina Kennel Club, along with Wichita and Hutchinson Kennel Clubs and the Wichita Dog Training Club, host the Kid's Booth at the Sunflower Cluster and the Wheatland Cluster Dog Shows, with friendly 'petting dogs' for the show going public to interact with, especially the kids. While not always purebred, the dogs are very loving :)
